Each year Orem Public Library organizes a month-long community writing event called Orem Writes. The object is to help put aspiring writers together with published writers and allow the novices to pick the brains of the experts. We are setting up a series of panels and workshops on a variety of different genres and styles including poetry, nonfiction, fiction, young adult, picture books, graphic novels, blogging, and publishing featuring some of Utah's finest writers, poets, illustrators and bloggers.
